New Huawei MediaPad tablet with 10.7-inch display seemingly on the way

Just over a year after the Huawei MediaPad M5 Pro tablet was introduced, new evidence found by the folks over at XDA Developers suggests Huawei is working on a new version of its most expensive tablet.

Codenamed ‘CRM2,’ the upcoming device is expected to hit shelves later this quarter as the Huawei MediaPad M6 Pro. It’ll reportedly feature a large 10.7-inch LCD display which offers a 2560 x 1600p resolution, just like the soon-to-be-replaced MediaPad M5 Pro.

On the inside, it seems as though Huawei will swap out the Kirin 960 chipset for the newer Kirin 970. For reference, ...
